At Tagvenue, we strive to ensure that 100% of our emails are delivered directly to our users’ inboxes. However, mailboxes—and the processes related to sending and receiving emails—are complex systems that take many factors into account when deciding where an email should land. As a result, even the best-written emails can sometimes end up in the "Spam" folder.
Each email provider has its own security system to assess whether an email seems "spammy." These systems vary by provider, and only the providers themselves fully understand how their algorithms work.
We are aware that this issue occasionally occurs with Tagvenue emails, so we’ve prepared several solutions to help prevent our emails from being marked as spam.
Below, we’ll outline solutions for three main email providers: Gmail, Outlook, and Apple Mail.
Solution 1: Mark the email as "Not spam"
Mail providers use algorithms to evaluate whether an email looks like spam. One way to prevent future emails from being flagged as spam is to mark emails from a particular sender as "Not spam," which can help improve their ranking and avoid misclassification in the future.
- Log in to your Gmail account.
- Go to "Spam" tab on the left side and open the email which you want to mark as "Not spam".
- If you marked message as spam on your own, you will see additional, gray box with button "Report not spam". Click it, to mark message as "Not spam".
If message was marked as spam automatically by your mailbox, you can use "Not spam" button in the upper part of your mailbox.
Outlook
- Log in to your Outlook mailbox.
- Go to "Junk Email" tab on the left side, and open the email which you want to mark as "Not spam".
- Click on "It's not junk" button to mark email as "Not spam".
Apple mail
- Log in to your Apple email mailbox.
- Go to "Junk" menu on the left side and open the email which you want to mark as "Not spam".
- Click the folder icon in the upper section.
- On the "Move message" pop-up window, click "Inbox".
Solution 2: Adding custom filter in your mailbox for all Tagvenue emails
Another option is to create a custom filter that ensures all emails from Tagvenue are delivered to your inbox and never sent to spam.
Make sure to include these two domains in your filters to ensure you receive all important communications from us:
- @tagvenue.com
- @reply.tagvenue.com
- Log in to your Google mailbox.
- On the right side, click "Settings" icon, and in the newly appeared menu, click "See all settings."
- In the "All settings" menu, click "Filters and Blocked Addresses" button.
- In newly opened section, click on "Create a filter" button.
- On the filter creation section, in "From" input field, type "@tagvenue.com" to include all emails from tagvenue.com domain and click on "Create filter" button.
- On the next section, from criteria options choose "Never send it to Spam", and click on "Create filter" button.
Outlook
- Log in to your Outlook mailbox.
- Click on "Settings" icon in the upper-right part of the application.
- From available options, choose "Junk email" section and click on "Add safe sender" button in the bottom part.
- Type name of the domain you want to add to safe senders (e.g. tagvenue.com) and click "Ok".
- Click on "Save" to update the changes to your mailbox.
Apple mail
Unfortunately, for Apple Mail it's not possible to set the custom rule for the whole domain, so we need to make a separate rule per each email address and also, a separate folder for Tagvenue emails.
- Log in to your Apple email mailbox.
- Click on the "Settings" icon in the upper-left part of the screen, and click on "Settings" button.
- On the pop-up, click on "Rules" section and then on the button "Add new rule".
- Type in the necessary details and then, click on "Choose a folder".
- On the "Choose folder" pop-up window, click on "+" icon to add a new folder, give it some name of your choice and hit "Enter".
- Click "Done" to confirm your choice of a folder.
- Next, click on "Add" to add a rule to your mailbox.
