Payment requests let you send a secure checkout link to your client. Payments are processed by Stripe, which manages compliance and security. The money goes directly to your bank account, minus card processing fees.
Why use online payments?
- Secure bookings faster – send a payment link right from the messenger.
- Money goes to you – payouts are transferred to your account as soon as possible.
- Flexible – take deposits, balances, extras or any custom amount.
Before you start (setup requirements)
- To use payment links, you need to add and verify your bank account. This process is done in Stripe.
- Make sure your tax information is up to date in Tagvenue’s settings.
Once both are in place, you can start sending online payment links straightaway from any enquiry.
How payments work (step by step)
- Open the enquiry → Payments tab → Request an online payment.
- Fill in the details, review, then Send payment request. A message with a checkout link is posted in the messenger and an email is sent to the client.
- The client opens the checkout link (with your company name) and pays online.
- After payment, a confirmation appears in the thread.
- The payment status changes to Paid, and the funds are transferred to your account in a few days.

Fees
The only fee for this feature is card processing fees. They are charged by Stripe and deducted at the time of payment. Fees depend on the region and the card type used:

FAQs
I can’t see the “Request an online payment” button. Why?
You’ll only see it once Stripe is connected and your tax info is added. Until then, use manual payments.
Is Pro Payments secure?
Yes. Stripe processes all transactions and handles compliance.
Who receives the money?
You do. Funds go directly to your bank account once the client makes the payment (card processing fees apply).
Can I split payments?
Yes. You can send multiple online requests for deposits, instalments and extras.
Do you handle refunds?
No. At the moment we are unable to handle refunds.
Do you allow authorisation without actual payment?
No. The payment links solution can only handle actual payments for now.
