You’re only charged once your Booking Request is accepted by the Venue Manager.
When you submit a Booking Request, an authorisation hold is placed on your card for the full amount. This isn’t a charge - just a temporary hold.
If the Venue Manager declines the request or doesn’t respond within 2 business days, the hold is automatically released by our payment provider, Stripe, and the funds are returned to your account.
Please note: this hold may appear on your bank statement as a ‘pending’ or ‘processing’ charge before it disappears. The time it takes for the funds to return depends on your bank or card issuer, and typically takes 3–5 business days. Tagvenue has no control over this timeframe.
