Enquiry sources show where each enquiry came from and help you make better marketing decisions.
With sources (and optional campaigns), you can:
- See which channels drive the most and best enquiries.
- Compare channel performance in the reports section using the sources and campaigns filters.
- Attribute enquiries from links you share in emails and social posts.
Sources and campaigns are displayed on the enquiries list, in the reports section, and are included in the data exports.
Note: Sources and campaigns are not visible to clients.

How sources are set
- Enquiries received via Tagvenue Marketplace have the source set automatically, and it cannot be modified.
- Direct enquiries submitted via the contact form have the source automatically identified, based on which contact form link you copied and shared. You can still change the source for those enquiries afterwards.
- Direct enquiries added manually have the source you selected when adding the enquiry. If you leave it blank, it will show up as “Not specified”. You can still change the source for those enquiries afterwards.
Create trackable contact form links
We automatically identify the source of direct enquiries submitted via the contact form, based on which contact form link you copied and shared.
When you set up the contact form for your venue, you have three options for sharing the link, depending on where you are going to share it:
- Add to your website — enquiries submitted via a link copied from this section will have Website as the source.
- Use in email campaign — enquiries will have Email as the source. You can optionally add a campaign name.
- Share on social media — enquiries will have a specific social media (e.g. Facebook, Instagram, TikTok) as the source. You can optionally add a campaign name.
Campaign tracking
When you copy a link for an email campaign or social media, you can optionally add a campaign name.
Campaigns allow you to identify and compare various email or social media strategies. You can then evaluate these strategies using the report section, where you can filter the data by campaign.
We recommend keeping campaign names short and consistent. It’s also good to include a year and month to differentiate repeated seasonal campaigns.
Examples:
- Black Friday 2025
- Summer Promotion 2026
- November Party Time 2026
Troubleshooting
- Always use the “Copy link” button when sharing the contact form link. Manually re‑typing or shortening links can remove tracking.
- Test once after publishing a new link: submit a test enquiry and verify the source (and campaign) appear as expected.
- Avoid tools that rewrite or strip tracking from links.
